it all started when…
actually, I don’t remember how it began, but I’ve been telling stories for as long as I can remember. Not exactly verbally, but writing them-anything from children’s books in the second grade after I read over 100 chapter books and “ran out of interesting things to read,” to vignettes about life and lessons learned along the way. Either way, writing was, and still is, my first love.
As a 20-something Chicago adjacent native I’ve been obsessed with perfection. This blog while aiming to be enjoyable and pretty amazing, stands in direct opposition to that. Like this picture, I’m going to delve into the things that make me who I am that I’d typically cloak under the guise of them being too much- the times I laughed too loudly, gleefully sang off key, cheered with so much intensity I almost got kicked out the ballet, cried until my body felt as though it ran out of water and all the other moments that were a little too real to be perfect, but real enough to resonate.
While I fill my life as a visual journalist inhabiting the numerous roles of daughter + sister + friend + fashionista + traveler + dreamer + believer & soon to be wine connoisseur, writing remains at the center of it all. Make sure you subscribe so you can stay updated to see what happens next!
